TOM
STADNICKI.
Tom served in the United States Navy from June 1974 to April 1980, initially as a Machinists Mate, and later was commissioned as an officer. He then went to work for the Post Office where he worked for 33 years, retiring in 2012. He works as a timer for high school basketball games and is an usher/collector at his church at the Saturday Vigil Mass. He is a member of American Legion Post 452 in Chicopee and serves on its Board of Directors. Tom is a regular supporter of the cemetery and volunteered at the retrieving of flags at the cemetery after the Memorial Day display period. Tom recently was with us at our display booth at Veteran Appreciation Day at the Big E, helping explain the mission of the friends as well as help Veterans understand the eligibility and application process for burial at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, and also volunteered to help at the Scrap Booking event.
