Section Title
Due to the generosity of Mr. Edward Squazza in 2021 Agawam became the host city for the state’s
first and largest Veteran’s Cemetery. That same year, our non-profit organization was created “to
honor those who served, comfort their families, enhance their eternal resting place”.
General “Jimmy” Doolittle, the World War II pilot who led the famous B-25 raid on Tokyo, is quoted as saying “There’s nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer”. That spirit is expressed every day at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Agawam.
The list of individuals, agencies, businesses, and organizations that contribute to the success of the cemetery grows every day and seems to be endless. Our aim is to express our appreciation to key individuals that have helped make a difference this year, including YOU! Please join with the Friends AND others who share your commitment to Veterans and the cemetery at this inaugural event.
