2026 Calendar of Events
The Friends General Meetings:
The public is welcome to attend our general meetings to learn about what we do, our accomplishments and volunteering with "The Friends".
Our general meetings are on the third Wednesday of March, June and October. Attend for a chance to win a free door prize!
We'd love to hear your memories of veterans you've known or your own experiences while serving in the U.S. military. Not comfortable speaking in public? We'll be happy to read your notes for you!

Wednesday, May 20- Memorial Day Flags Placement
We would greatly appreciate your help with removing the American flags from the veterans' graves at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Agawam.
We will gather in front of the administration building for instructions before beginning the flag removal process.
No sign-up is required for this event. We hope to see you there!

Please park in the lot behind the administration building to keep the road open for emergency and over-sized vehicles. If the lot is full, park only on the right side of the roads within the cemetery.

Sunday, June 28- 2nd Annual Golf Tournament
To Benefit Wreaths Across America
The Friends of the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Agawam & Friends of the Agawam Veterans Cuoncil will be holding their 2nd annual Golf Tournament to support Wreaths Across America. This tournament directly supports our efforts to honor veterans laid to rest at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery through Wreaths Across America and other initiatives.
Not a golfer? Join us for dinner! Other opportunities to support us include:
