Rolling Welcome-Dec 10 & 15, 2023

Two wreath deliveries were made for the December 16th Wreaths Across America (WAA) event with a total of 9,528 wreaths delivered to the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Agawam!

Sunday, December 10th's Rolling Welcome demonstrated our appreciation for Wreaths Across America Driver Chris Locke as he arrived in Agawam with over 3700 wreaths for Saturday's event.

Special thanks to 100-year-old WWII Veteran Harvey Lafleur for participating in this event, as well as the Agawam Veterans Council for organizing the event. Additionally, thanks to the Patriot Guard Riders and Gerry for serving as “Driver” for Harvey in his restored 1942 Jeep.

After the welcome, the crew at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Agawam offloaded the 3700+ wreaths. We salute this crew which is behind the scenes of Wreaths Across America every year; the unsung workers in the background making National Wreaths Across America the success that it is at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Agawam.

We received the final shipment of wreaths on the morning of December 15th; another 5,872 wreaths!

Thanks to volunteer driver Dakota, and who made his maiden voyage as a volunteer driver for WAA, and his employer Will Coffin Transportation. Dakota did an outstanding job assisting the grounds crew in offloading the pallets and impressed us with his driving skills.

Again, sincere thanks to the grounds crew for their enthusiastic support of WAA.
